CurateTV operates the video discovery platform available at curatetv.pages.dev. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our service.

1. Information We Collect

CurateTV collects minimal information to operate the service:

YouTube API Key: If you provide a YouTube Data API key, it is stored locally in your browser only. It is never transmitted to our servers.
Usage data: We do not collect personal information, browsing history, or user accounts. No registration is required.
Cookies: CurateTV does not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes.

2. YouTube API Services

CurateTV uses the YouTube Data API v3 to display publicly available YouTube channel and video information. By using CurateTV, you are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service (youtube.com/t/terms) and Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

CurateTV only accesses publicly available YouTube data. We do not access private user data, YouTube accounts, or any personally identifiable information through the YouTube API.

3. How We Use Information

The YouTube API key you provide is used solely to fetch publicly available YouTube channel metadata and video listings on your behalf. This data is cached temporarily in your browser session to reduce API calls and improve performance.

4. Data Storage

Your API key is stored in your browser's localStorage and remains on your device only.
Video and channel data fetched from YouTube is cached in your browser session memory and cleared when you close the tab.
We do not operate databases, user accounts, or server-side storage of personal information.

5. Third-Party Services

CurateTV embeds YouTube video players. When you watch a video, YouTube may collect data according to their own privacy policy. CurateTV is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which may collect standard web server logs per Cloudflare's privacy policy.

6. Children's Privacy

CurateTV includes a Kids category that curates publicly available educational YouTube channels. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Kids category only surfaces pre-selected, publicly available content from established educational channels.

7. Your Rights

Since CurateTV does not collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. You can clear your locally stored API key at any time via the API Key button in the app, or by clearing your browser's localStorage.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of CurateTV after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
